I’m thinking I’ll do this all week, even though the suggestion to post a "50-word-or-less blog entry " was a one-time deal.  I’m always going on about brevity and being concise yet I wander and ramble when I write, so this is a good exercise — an exercise in editing, eliminating wordiness.
